Small Faces - Record Store Day Exclusives!
The French EPs boxset
To kick off the Small Faces 50th anniversary year, there are but three exclusive limited edition releases to celebrate Record Store Day 2015!
Virtually impossible to find, all five Decca EPs will be released in faithfully recreated facsimile edition flip-back picture sleeves, remastered on vinyl and housed in a beautiful flip-top box featuring rare portraits from the Small Faces archive. This strictly limited. edition of 2500 has been overseen by surviving Small Faces member Kenney Jones with the sound remastered direct from the original Decca tapes. No previous reissues on CD or vinyl have used the correct French EP versions.
Ogdens' Nut Gone Flake - 1/2-speed mastered replica LP
Newly mastered at 1/2-speed at Alchemy Studios in 2015, the legendary no.1 UK album originally released by Immediate in 1968, sounds even more incredible than 2012's replica vinyl LP. Repressed due to popular demand as the 2012 version sold out very quickly, just 2,000 copies housed in a reproduction of the original circular foldout sleeve will be available in the UK with 1,000 more distributed worldwide.
Afterglow of Your Love (alternate single mix) /
Up the Wooden Hills to Bedfordshire (stereo)
Afterglow is a previously unreleased version which feature Ian McLagan's keyboards more predominantly plus a piano section erased during the original single mix newly restored. Mac's own composition on the b-side (with lyrics reproduced on a sleeve featuring Gered Mankowitz photos) rounds off this poignant tribute to the irreplaceable Mac (1945-2014). Limited to just 2,000 copies worldwide.
